Rubio Declares South African Ambassador ‘Persona Non Grata’ After Trump Insult

Last week, Secretary of State Marco Rubio unequivocally stated that the South African ambassador to the United States is no longer welcome. On Friday, Rubio took to the social media platform X to label Ambassador Ebrahim Rasool as “a race-baiting politician who hates America.”

Rubio further asserted, “We have nothing to discuss with him, and he is therefore considered PERSONA NON GRATA,” while sharing a Breitbart News article that highlighted derogatory remarks made by the South African diplomat about President Donald Trump. The ambassador faced expulsion after he claimed at a recent event that Trump was spearheading a global white supremacist movement.

During his address at the Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA) in Johannesburg, Rasool attempted to clarify Trump’s recent foreign policy stances, particularly his opposition to South Africa’s property expropriation laws and its relationships with Iran, Hamas, and other nations.

Rasool stated, according to Breitbart, “What Donald Trump is initiating is an attack on those in power, mobilizing a supremacist agenda against incumbents, both domestically and, as I believe I have demonstrated, internationally.”

He elaborated, “In this context, the supremacist challenge to incumbency is evident in the domestic politics of the USA, particularly within the MAGA movement, which is a reaction not only to a supremacist impulse but also to clear demographic trends indicating that the voting electorate in the USA is projected to be 48% white. The prospect of a majority of minorities is on the horizon, which must be taken into account. This understanding sheds light on what may appear to be instinctive, nativist, or racist behaviors, supported by data that relates to the construction of walls, the deportation movement, and similar issues.”

Elon Musk’s engagement in UK politics, particularly his support for Nigel Farage and the Reform movement, is not coincidental. This involvement mirrors the guidance he received regarding Vice President Vance’s address to the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) during his journey to the Munich security summit, aimed at bolstering their election efforts, as articulated by the banned South African diplomat.

This raises questions about the role of Afrikaners in this context. It appears that their function is to promote a narrative of white victimhood, serving as a signal for a global movement that seeks to protect beleaguered white communities, or those perceived as such.

While this narrative may lack truth or coherence, it resonates within a global white audience. It is essential to grasp this dynamic. Furthermore, there seems to be a conflict where a supremacist insurgency is being positioned against the established order, Rasool remarked.

He asserted that his nation could spearhead the resistance against what he described as Trump’s white supremacist agenda, claiming it serves as “the historical antidote to supremacism.”

Additionally, Rasool has a documented history of supporting Hamas. According to Semafor, he has faced challenges in gaining influence in Washington, DC, and is reportedly being marginalized by significant political figures.
