Lemon Butter Cake

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter (1 stick), melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 lemons, zested
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 ¼ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
Cream Layer
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 lemon, zested
