Today I’m going to share a wonderful recipe that I learned from my grandmother!
You can call it a stuffed croquette or a stuffed potato dumpling, as there is literally no specific name for this dish.
Regardless of the name, the important thing is that they are incredible! With simple and accessible ingredients, the flavor is truly unique.
Even those who are just starting out in the kitchen can make it, as it doesn’t require any special skills!
Let’s get to the recipe!

Banana and Condensed Milk Recipe
Ingredients:

- 1 kg of English potatoes (small potatoes)
- 1 grated carrot
- 2 eggs
- 2 chopped onions
- 5 tablespoons of wheat flour
- 100 to 200 g chicken breast fillet
- 5 fresh mushrooms
- 100 ml of cream
- 100 g of grated fresh cheese
- Butter
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley to taste
- Vegetable oil
Preparation method:
Peel the potatoes and place them in a pan with water. Cook until soft.
Drain the potatoes, let them cool a little and mash them with a fork or potato masher, forming a puree.
In a frying pan, melt the butter and sauté a chopped onion until transparent.
Add the grated carrot and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Mix the sautéed mixture with the mashed potatoes. Add the chopped parsley and eggs and mix well.

Add the flour and stir until all the ingredients are well incorporated. Set aside.
In another pan, heat some butter and quickly sauté the other onion. Add the chopped chicken breast and cook.
Cut the mushrooms into smaller pieces and add them to the chicken. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add the cream, mix well and transfer to a bowl. Add the grated fresh cheese and set aside.
On a floured surface, shape small portions of the dough, creating a cavity in the center.

Fill with the chicken and mushroom mixture and close well. (See image below).

Heat a little vegetable oil in a pan and fry the croquettes (or dumplings) until golden on both sides.
